Housekeeper-cook for a live-in role, Job ID J17739

A live-in housekeeper cook is needed by this lovely family in Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, to help maintain the cleanliness of their home and prepare meals. They are looking for an organised and hardworking candidate who can take initiative with all general housekeeping tasks and cook for the family. The family has two dogs, so someone pet-friendly is preferred. Flexibility to join the family when they travel every three to four weeks per year is ideal. A full driving license is required, and the family will provide a car. Someone who could speak Spanish, Italian and Portuguese languages would be a bonus but English-speaking candidates would also be considered.

Working hours: Thursdays to Mondays (will consider a weekend free per month to be agreed) around 10 to 12 hours a day but there is flexibility on how these hours are worked, approximately 55 hours per week

Accommodation: Staff apartment in the East wing of the house (Renovation complete in October) Staying in a 3-bedroom cottage for the meantime with the other housekeeper.

Duties include:

• confident in planning and cooking simple family-style meals including breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• prepping and cooking for friends when hosting
• daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensuring it is always tidy and presentable
• making beds, cleaning bathrooms, organising and cleaning the kitchen
• generally keeping all areas of the house clean and organised
• happy to run errands such as trips to the post office during busy mornings and afternoon/evening routines
• occasional babysitting
