A lovely family based in Kensington, London, is seeking an after-school Nanny with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to care for their school-aged child, who is currently in nursery and will be starting school in September. The role involves all general nanny duties. The ideal candidate must have previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly those with speech delay. They are looking for someone calm, patient, and nurturing, who is also flexible, reliable, and proactive in supporting the child’s developmental needs. A valid paediatric first aid qualification is essential for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00/8:00 pm - Full time during school holidays 9:00 am to 6:00 pm ( 45 hours )

Duties include:

• Providing after-school care, starting from nursery/school pick-up
• Supporting the child with communication and language development through structured and play-based activities
• Building a consistent and trusting routine to help the child thrive in a supportive environment
• Assisting with homework and school-related tasks
• Preparing and serving healthy meals and snacks for the child
• Bathing and dressing the child as part of the daily routine
• Planning and engaging in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
• Taking the child to extra-curricular activities, playdates, and outings
• Monitoring developmental milestones and updating parents as needed
• Ensuring the child’s safety, happiness, and overall well-being at all times
