After-school Nanny in NW11

An after-school nanny is needed by a family in Golders Green, London to help them look after their school-aged child. They seek someone who has experienced looking after child with special needs. The child is verbal and capable of doing things on their own, but can experience meltdowns that require the nanny to remain calm and patient. The candidate will also be expected to cook and prepare meals for the child.

A valid first aid qualification is required for this role.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, and Friday from 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm, 20.5 hours per week

Duties include:

• collecting the child from school
• helping with homework
• preparing meals and snacks
• arranging playdates
• helping with homework
• playing age-appropriate games together
• reading stories to the child
• tidying away their toys after use – child to help
• helping with the evening routine, eg help child organise bags for the next day
• light laundry of child’s clothes
• occasional grocery shopping

The family is looking for someone to start in August 2024 but are happy to meet lovely candidates.
