A wonderful family based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is seeking an After-school Nanny to care for their baby and school-aged child. They are looking for an experienced, caring, and easy-going candidate with a basic understanding of child development. The role involves all standard childcare duties. A driver with their own car and a full driving licence is essential for this position. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.

Working hours: During school term: 7:00 am to 8:30 am (start in Harpenden, AL5 2NJ and school drop off in Wheathampstead AL4 8DJ between 8:05 am to 8:15 am ) and 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm (reverse journey from the morning i.e. school pick up to go back home) - During school holidays: between 1-5 days full time 7:00 am to 6:30 pm

Duties include:

• Collecting the child from school and accompanying her to after-school activities, playdates, and appointments
• Prioritising the child’s safety, well-being, and development
• Engaging her in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as park visits
• Encouraging early literacy through regular reading
• Assisting with homework and supporting her educational progress
• Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to promote structure and development
