A lovely family based in Barnet, London, is seeking a caring and reliable Au Pair to help care for their newborn baby, who is due in December 2026. The role is set to begin on 1st January 2027.

The ideal candidate will speak fluent English and have a warm, nurturing approach to newborn care. The family is looking for someone who is patient, reliable, and happy to work alongside the mother, providing support with the baby's daily routines and early development. The mother is vegetarian, although the au pair is welcome to eat whatever they prefer. The family should also be aware of an allergy to raw soya.

The role includes light housekeeping related to the baby and occasional care for the family's small dog. A driver is not required.

The successful candidate will be provided with private accommodation, including a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.

A valid first aid certification is required for this role.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week. Exact working hours will be confirmed.

Duties include:

• assisting with the care of a newborn baby
• supporting the establishment of consistent daily routines
• assisting with nappy changes and bottle preparation
• providing attentive, nurturing care that supports the baby's safety, well-being, and development
• engaging the child in age-appropriate activities as they grow
• preparing bottles and supporting infant feeding routines
• carrying out light housekeeping duties related to the child
• managing the child's laundry and keeping the child's areas tidy
• cleaning the kitchen after use
• providing occasional care for the family's small dog
• creating a calm, safe, and nurturing home environment

The family is looking for someone who can start on 1st January 2027.
