A lovely family based in Blackheath, London, is seeking a Part-time Live-in Au Pair to help care for their two children, aged 2 and 4 years old.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of childcare experience and will speak fluent English. Someone who speaks Finnish would be a bonus. The family is looking for someone warm, reliable, flexible, and confident caring for young children.
The au pair will be responsible for nursery and school drop-offs and pick-ups, which are around a 10-minute walk from the family home. Duties will include supporting the children’s daily routines, bathing, maintaining proper hygiene, preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks, and engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, reading, and outdoor outings.
The children have a dairy allergy, so the candidate should be mindful when preparing food. Cooking for the boys would be a bonus, and the family follows gluten-free food preferences, although there is no gluten allergy.
The role will also include light housekeeping duties based around the children, as well as helping with the general upkeep of the household. The candidate will be provided with a private bedroom and bathroom.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 and 15:30 to 18:30. Tuesday and Friday, 2 to 3 hours per day. Extra babysitting may be arranged, and the hours can be flexible.
