This lovely family based in Wales is looking for an Au Pair to care for their school-aged child. All general nanny duties are required for this role, and a driver would be a bonus. The family, located in Cardiff, is seeking a kind and reliable au pair who will truly become part of their home. Mum will be returning to work in January, so they hope to find someone who can support them during this transition and help make it as smooth as possible. Their child attends nursery, and the au pair will be responsible for morning and afternoon care when Mum is not around, as well as offering additional support on an ad hoc basis when needed. Duties will include helping with nursery drop-offs and pick-ups, spending quality time with the child in the afternoons, preparing simple meals or snacks, and engaging him in fun, age-appropriate activities. Flexibility is important, as there may be times when the family requires a bit of extra help. Most importantly, they are looking for someone dependable, caring, and able to bring warmth and positivity into their home. This is a wonderful opportunity for an au pair who wants to experience life in Cardiff while becoming part of a welcoming and supportive family. The family has a cat. Sometimes, when they go away, some care may be required. A valid first-aid qualification is required for this position.

Working hours: Weekdays. Total hours per week: 25 hours

Accommodation: Private en suite bathroom provided.

Duties include:

• Supporting the children’s morning and evening routines.
• Assisting with getting the children ready and helping with dressing before nursery.
• Preparing and serving breakfast.
• Taking the children to nursery (drop-off).
• Providing afternoon care and picking the children up from nursery.
• Assisting with dinner, bath time, and overall evening wind-down.
• Helping with children’s washing and maintaining good hygiene routines.
• Keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy.
• Cooking simple and healthy meals for the children.
• The family has a cat; occasional pet care may be required when the family is away.
