Au Pair in Hertford, Job ID J226D2

A family based in Hertford, Hertfordshire, is looking for an experienced and supportive Au Pair to mentor and care for their three girls.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of professional experience and must be a confident driver holding a full driving licence (automatic only) for school pickups and transport to sports. Accommodation is provided with a choice of 2 private double rooms.

A valid first aid qualification is needed for this position.

Working hours: Monday through Thursday afternoons, roughly 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with flexibility for evening routines (25 hours per week).

Accommodation: Choice of 2 private double rooms

Duties include:

• managing afternoon routines and school pickups—primarily for the youngest child—and providing safe transport to sports activities like football and netball
• acting as a supportive mentor to build confidence and encourage active participation in daily activities
• handling light housekeeping, such as light laundry, dishwashing, and day-to-day tidying (as the family employs professional cleaners for deep cleaning)
• helping cook dinner for the girls if dad is not home, with cooking for the whole household considered a huge bonus

The family is looking for someone who can start on 5 October 2026.
