German speaking Rota Nanny

A family in Chelsea, London is looking for a Live-In or Live-out German-speaking Rota Nanny to look after their toddler and their lovely school-aged child. The working hours for this position would be on a rota basis, could be 1 week on and 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off with a 24/7 cover. The family has another nanny so you will be working together. A Nanny who has experience working within a fully staffed household would be beneficial.

The Nanny must be able to plan for their time so that it is developmentally and socially enhancing for both children. They travel regularly so someone flexible to travel is ideal. The family is looking for a Nanny who is a team player, organised, creative and who will see their position as a very important one within the children, and family’s life.

The Rota Nanny will be responsible for

• assisting with bath time routine,
• dressing the children,
• feeding them,
• cleaning them up after every meal,
• taking them to playdates,
• preparing various age-appropriate activities,
• playing with them,
• helping the other child with homework,
• making sure they are always happy and safe,
• changing nappies and helping the little one with potty/toilet training,
• teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners

Light housekeeping such as

• laundry and ironing after the children,
• cleaning up after the meals,
• maintaining the children's room and play areas tidy at all times

Someone who can drive is a big plus. A German speaker is needed for this role to help the children communicate using the language. The family would need someone to start as soon as possible.
