Governess to start asap, Job ID J228A6

A full-time Governess or Governor is needed by this family located in Berkshire to help them with their child's learning development. This position is open to live-in or live-out candidates. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, qualified teacher who can confidently enforce positive discipline, provide reliable holiday cover, and travel abroad with the family. They are looking for someone pet-friendly as they have 2 dogs - no pet care is required. Driving is essential for this role, and an automatic car will be provided by the family.

First Aid qualification is essential for this role.

Working hours: 5 days a week, weekend must, happy for the candidate to choose 2 days off during the week

Duties include:

• Managing the child's before and after-school routine to support the child's structure and development
• Providing homework assistance and supporting the child's educational growth
• Encouraging early literacy by reading books with the child
• Engaging the child in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
• Light housekeeping related to the child
• Keeping the child's bedroom and play areas clean and tidy
