Housekeeper for 21 hours per week

A Housekeeper for 21 hours per week is needed by this lovely family in Croydon, London to act as a companion to their mother who suffers from dementia and take initiative in all general housekeeping tasks. The candidate will have the responsibility of preparing her lunch and keeping her company during times when no one else is home. Due to her dementia, she requires full supervision, as a young child would be. The role, at present, does not require any personal care but rather it is more about being present and making sure she is comfortable. Big preference for a Greek speaker however English-speaking candidates will be considered. They have a cat so someone pet-friendly is ideal however there is no care required.

Working hours: 3 full days, from 10:00 am to 5:00 or 6:00 pm

Duties include:

• dusting and mopping the floors
• doing the laundry and ironing
• polishing the furniture
• cleaning the windows
• freshening the rooms
• making up the beds and changing the linens
• taking the bins out
• organising and maintaining their wardrobes
• running errands such as grocery shopping
• preparing a variety of healthy meals
• dry cleaning
• weekly deep cleans of the kitchen and bathrooms
• cleaning wash basins, bathtubs and showers
• unloading and loading the dishwasher
• arranging household maintenance

A Housekeeper for 21 hours per week must be willing to start immediately.
