A lovely family based in Balham is seeking a Part-time Housekeeper to keep their home clean and well-organised. The role includes all general housekeeping duties. Strong cooking skills are essential, with the ability to prepare meals using fresh ingredients, ensuring a good balance of vegetables and proteins while avoiding overly processed or fried foods. The family values variety and particularly appreciates experience in cooking for children, creating meals that are both healthy and appealing.
Working hours: Monday to Friday (part-time), 3 days per week (ideally Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), 3 hours per day (flexible on time)
Duties include:
- Washing, drying, ironing, folding, and organising clothing and household linens
- Managing laundry tasks, including replacing bed linens and making beds as required
- Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
- Maintaining the kitchen to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation
- Preparing fresh, healthy, and balanced meals for both children and adults
- Using fresh ingredients, ensuring meals include a balance of vegetables and proteins while avoiding overly processed or fried foods
- Providing variety in meals that are both nutritious and appealing to children
- Demonstrated experience in cooking for children is essential for this role
- Ensuring the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the private residence
- Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
