Live-in Housekeeper in St. John's Wood, Job ID J2172D

A lovely family based in St John’s Wood, London, is seeking an experienced Full-time Live-in Housekeeper to help maintain their private residence to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of housekeeping experience and will be confident working in a large home. The property has 5 bedrooms across 3 floors, as well as a basement with a gym and pool, so someone organised, thorough, and able to manage a busy household would be ideal for this role.

The housekeeper will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the home, including general housekeeping, laundry, ironing, bed making, kitchen maintenance, and dishware organisation. A confident cook is also required, as the candidate will be expected to work both independently and alongside the in-house chef.

The candidate will be provided with a separate staff flat with its own entrance. A driver is not required for this role.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00, with a 1-hour break during the day. Alternate Saturdays, 10:30 to 15:30.

Duties include:

• maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence
• sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
• cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
• cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area
• washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
• managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding
• making beds and changing linens as needed
• cleaning and organising dishware
• loading and unloading the dishwasher
• helping maintain the basement, gym, and pool areas
• preparing meals independently when required
• working alongside the in-house chef when needed
