Live-in Housekeeper in Virginia Water, Surrey, Job ID J1EF85

This lovely family based in Virginia Water, Surrey, is seeking a Live-in Housekeeper to maintain their home in a clean, organised, and well-kept manner. The role includes all general housekeeping duties. A driver is required, with the ability to operate both automatic and manual vehicles. Cooking is a valuable bonus, primarily for simple, home-cooked meals and assisting with meal preparation rather than entertaining. The family has two very friendly dogs, so the candidate must be comfortable with pets. Duties will include walking the dogs in the afternoons and providing dog care, such as feeding and walking, when the owners are away.

Working hours: Monday to Friday (with some flexibility), 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm Some weekend flexibility would also be appreciated.

Accommodation: Beautiful self-contained flat attached to a wing of the house.

Duties include:

• Running errands and handling grocery shopping as needed.
• Managing the full upkeep of a 5-bedroom property, each with its own en suite bathroom, along with the games/reception room, cinema room, drawing room, family room, main kitchen, and commercial-grade utility kitchen.
• Arranging and maintaining all outdoor terraces used during summer, including sweeping, dressing, and preparing them for seasonal use.
• Overseeing general house management to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Carrying out routine floor care such as sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Dusting and polishing all furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas.
• Washing, drying, and organising clothing and household linens.
• Managing all laundry tasks, including ironing and folding.
• Making beds and replacing linens when required.
• Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
