Live-in Nanny-Housekeeper in Watford, Hertfordshire, Job ID J207FB

This family are looking for a Nanny-housekeeper comfortable being in the same room as the baby for the first two months or so. The family currently have a maternity nurse until the end of March, and the baby is already in a fairly good sleep routine. Housekeeping includes laundry, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen, and maintaining a clean environment. The family have a cleaner who comes every other week. The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and have a genuine love for children. A valid first-aid qualification is essential for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Accommodation: Own En-suite bedroom in the long term. Sharing the bedroom with the baby for the first 2 months or so.

Duties include:

• sterilising bottles
• changing nappies
• nurturing the milestones of a baby’s first year
• attending baby groups for the little one
• ensuring the bedrooms are tidy
• mopping, sweeping and hoovering the floors
• loading the dishwasher/ doing the dishes
• dusting furniture
• freshening the rooms
• preparing healthy meals and snacks
• doing the laundry and ironing
• dusting
• hoovering the carpets and floors
• ensuring all bedrooms are always clean
• polishing floor
• preparing simple yet healthy and delicious meals for the family
• cleaning up after meals
• changing bedsheets once a week
• maintaining a clean and tidy environment for the family
