Live-in Nanny in London, Job ID J22408

A compassionate and experienced Full Time Live-in Nanny is needed by a family in Kingston upon Thames, London to provide dedicated one-to-one care and companionship for their teenage daughter. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and be patient, supportive, and confident in providing neuro-affirming care for a teenager with autism.

Working hours: Full-time, approximately 50 hours per week. Core working hours are negotiable and will be discussed at the offer stage.

Accommodation: Separate accommodation with an own bedroom. The kitchen, dining room, and bathroom are shared with another staff member.

Duties include:

• building a trusting, supportive, and compassionate relationship with the teenager
• providing dedicated one-to-one companionship and care
• maintaining a calm and predictable daily routine
• supporting emotional regulation and sensory needs using patient and neuro-affirming approaches
• providing reassurance and support with anxiety management
• encouraging age-appropriate independence and personal autonomy
• supporting the development of social and life skills
• accompanying the teenager to activities, hobbies, outings, and exercise
• ensuring the teenager's safety, comfort, and well-being
• adapting activities and support to the teenager's individual needs, personality, and interests
• working closely with the parents, healthcare professionals, and existing household staff
• maintaining consistent care and support routines
• carrying out light housekeeping duties related to the child's needs
• assisting with meal preparation if required, which would be a bonus

A driver would be a bonus for this position.

The family is looking for someone to start at the end of August.

A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
