A lovely family based in Richmond, London, is seeking a Live-in Nanny to care for their two school-aged children. They are looking for someone reliable, trustworthy, proactive, and child-focused, someone who is active, friendly, and capable of handling all childcare duties. Responsibilities include school drop-offs and pick-ups, planning engaging activities, and providing calm, supportive homework assistance. A car will be provided, as the children's school is a 30-minute drive from the family home. Experience with ADHD would be a bonus, as one of the children has the condition. A full driving licence is essential for this role.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 am until 7:30 pm with additional Tuesdays and Thursdays babysitting
Accommodation: Own room and ensuite on the top floor
Duties include:
- Providing companionship and attentive care for articulate, independent, and well-travelled children
- Supporting and encouraging the children’s interests and hobbies through active engagement
- Driving the children to and from school and extracurricular activities
- Sorting through the children’s belongings and organising regular clear-outs
- Preparing and organising school materials and supplies
- Ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and healthy development at all times
- Supporting and reinforcing positive parental relationships
- Maintaining clean, organised, and tidy bedrooms and play areas for the children
- Offering homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational progress
- Maintaining consistent daily routines to promote structure, emotional security, and developmental growth
- Overseeing and maintaining proper hygiene routines for the children
- Providing care and supervision when the children are unwell
- Washing and sanitising the children’s dishes and feeding utensils after use
- Cleaning and sanitising the children’s bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
- Washing, drying, folding, and organising the children’s clothing and linens regularly
- Making beds and changing bed linen in the children’s sleeping areas as needed to maintain cleanliness and comfort
