Maternity Nurse in London, Job ID J222BA

A lovely family in Camden is seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse to support them with their new baby. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of experience and will provide expert newborn care while helping the parents establish confident routines.

The role will include feeding support, bottle preparation and sterilisation, nappy changes, bathing, dressing, soothing and settling the baby. The Maternity Nurse will also monitor the baby's weight, growth and development, maintain detailed records of feeds, sleep and nappies, and support breastfeeding or expressing where required.

The candidate will also help teach the parents practical newborn care skills, including handling, bathing and soothing techniques. Light nursery-related housekeeping will be required, including washing and ironing the baby's clothes and bedding, keeping the nursery and feeding areas tidy, and managing nursery supplies.

Working Hours: 24/6 with a 4-hour break each day

Key Duties:

• Provide professional newborn care and support.
• Sterilise equipment and prepare milk bottles.
• Change, bathe, dress and soothe the baby.
• Support breastfeeding and expressing.
• Establish and maintain healthy sleep and feeding routines.
• Monitor and record feeds, sleep, nappies, weight and development.
• Teach parents practical newborn care techniques.
• Wash and iron the baby's clothing and bedding.
• Keep the nursery and feeding areas clean and organised.
• Manage nursery supplies and equipment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
• Strong newborn and maternity experience
• English-speaking
• Professional, nurturing and confident approach to newborn care
• A relevant maternity/newborn qualification is required

Job Type: Maternity Nurse

Salary: £350–£500 gross per day
