Maternity Nurse, Job ID J1D08A

A friendly and welcoming family based on Shepherdess Walk is in search of an experienced maternity nurse to support them as they welcome their first baby at the end of August. This role will focus on delivering expert postpartum care, helping the mother establish a consistent routine for the newborn, and offering gentle, reassuring guidance during the early stages of parenthood.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, highly knowledgeable, and comfortable around pets, as the household includes a Cocker Spaniel and two cats. A valid first aid qualification is essential for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday (12 hours, flexible e.g. 8 am to 8 pm)

Duties include:

• all maternity nurse duties
• help mum with postpartum care
• supporting mum in setting up a routine for the baby
• implementing a good sleep routine
• help, encourage and advise on breastfeeding
• bathing the baby
• light housekeeping whilst mum is spending time with the baby including dishwasher
• wipe the sides down
• laundry
• put toys away
• sterilise bottles
• tidy baby's room
• manage baby's wardrobe etc.
• batch cooking for parents

The initial placement will begin on 1st September 2025 and last for two weeks, with the potential to extend through to December for the right candidate.
