Nanny-Housekeeper: live-in position, Job ID J1C0F3

This wonderful family based in London is looking for a Live-in Nanny-Housekeeper to help care for their toddler and manage all general housekeeping duties. They are seeking someone reliable, hands-on, and proactive. The role involves all aspects of childcare and housekeeping, including cooking and preparing healthy meals for the family. Extensive experience in caring for young children is essential. The family has a cat, so a pet-friendly candidate is ideal. It would be a bonus if the nanny is comfortable travelling with the family to Europe for 3 to 4 weeks per year, though this is not essential.

Someone who could speak Cantonese, Chinese or Mandarin languages would be a bonus but English-speaking candidates will also be considered. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, approximately 55 hours per week

Accommodation: Own bedroom

Duties include:

• Assisting with nappy changes and bottle preparation for the infant
• Bathing and ensuring proper hygiene for the child
• Providing attentive care to support the child’s safety, well-being, and development
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks suited to the child’s needs
• Keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
• Engaging the child in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and outdoor outings, such as visits to the park
• Supporting early literacy through reading books and interactive storytelling
• Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to promote structure and emotional security
• Maintaining cleanliness and overall upkeep of the private residence
• Performing regular floor care: sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
• Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and household surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
• Keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic, including appliance wipe-downs
• Managing household laundry: washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens
• Making beds and changing linens as needed
• Washing and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
