A Live in Nanny-Housekeeper is needed in Newbury, West Berkshire to help a lovely family in maintaining a clean and organised household whilst caring for their newborn baby and school-aged child. This position is perfect for someone who is responsible, nurturing, and able to balance childcare and household tasks effectively. The family has a dog at home which is needed to be fed in the morning so someone pet-friendly would be ideal. The nanny-housekeeper must be comfortable joining them when they take international trips. A driver is required for this position, and the candidate should be comfortable driving both automatic and manual vehicles.

Someone who could speak Thai or Tagalog languages would be a bonus but English-speaking candidates will also be considered. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, approximately 55 hours per week

Accommodation: Main house own bedroom and bathroom or separate cottage

Duties include:

• Assisting with nappy changes and preparing bottles for infants
• Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the children
• Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
• Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
• Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
• Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
• Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children's structure and development
• Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence
• Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
• Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
• Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area
• Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
• Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding
• Making beds and replacing linens as needed
• Cleaning and organising dish ware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
• Assisting with cooking and prepping healthy meals for the family
