Nanny-Housekeeper, part-time role, Job ID J1DEF3

A lovely family in Newbury, Berkshire, is looking for a kind and reliable nanny-housekeeper to support them in caring for their school-aged children, while also keeping their home clean and organised. The ideal candidate will be calm and patient, capable of managing both general childcare and housekeeping duties. Ideally, they need someone who can cook Indian cuisine. A Hindi or Tamil speaker would be a bonus. A driver with their own car is required.

A valid first-aid qualification is a must for this role.

Working hours: Mondays 1 pm- 9 pm, More hours during holidays, 8 am-3 pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 8:30 am-6 pm Thursdays

Duties include:

• Carrying out all laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and ironing
• Caring for delicate or important household items appropriately
• Hoovering and mopping floors to maintain cleanliness throughout the home
• Cleaning windows, cupboards, kitchen surfaces, and other household areas
• Maintaining tidy and hygienic bedrooms and bathrooms
• Organising wardrobes and managing clothing storage effectively
• Assisting children with their learning and educational activities
• Washing and dressing the children each day
• Engaging the children in play and age-appropriate activities
• Escorting children to scheduled activities or outings
• Ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and happiness at all times

The family is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
