A wonderful family in Brixton, London is looking for a Full-time Nanny to provide proper care for their charming toddler. The family is seeking someone reliable, warm, and enthusiastic who can carry out all childcare duties. The family follows a vegetarian diet, so it would be ideal if the nanny is comfortable preparing vegetarian meals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with toddlers and be confident in supporting his development through age-appropriate activities, routines, and gentle guidance. Someone pet-friendly is ideal since the family has a dog at home. The nanny is welcome to join the family from time to time when they travel around Europe. A driver who holds a full driving license would be a bonus but is not a deal-breaker.

It would be a bonus if the nanny speaks French or Spanish, to help encourage early exposure. A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday for 50 hours per week on a flexible schedule plus babysitting

Duties include:

• Maintain a consistent daily schedule
• Provide constant supervision to ensure safety
• Support hand washing, brushing teeth, and basic grooming
• Provide age-appropriate toys and games that support development
• Encourage creative play, drawing, blocks, pretend play etc. including music and movement (dancing, singing, clapping)
• Encourage outdoor play and exploration (with supervision)
• Support gross motor skills: climbing, running, kicking balls
• Promote independence (e.g., putting on shoes, picking up toys)
• Talk to the child regularly using simple, clear language
• Encourage naming objects, expressing feelings, and asking questions
• Prepare and serve healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks
• Encourage self-feeding with utensils, supporting motor skill development
• Monitor for choking hazards and maintain a calm eating environment
