Part-Time Au Pair in Wouldham, Kent, Job ID J22B42

A family based in Kent (Postcode: ME1) is looking for a warm, compassionate, and adaptable Part-Time Au Pair to care for their 9-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of professional childcare experience, fluent English, and a patient, attentive approach to supporting a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Special Note: The child has a diagnosis of autism and is non-verbal, but she communicates her needs and feelings effectively through alternative methods. The family is seeking someone comfortable tuning into her preferred communication style. Having a valid driving licence is considered a bonus but is not strictly necessary.

A valid first aid qualification is required for this position.

Working hours: 30 hours per week. (Working days and hours vary week-to-week due to the mother's shift patterns; a complete rota and expectations are always provided well in advance.)

Accommodation: Private bedroom with a shared bathroom (shared with the daughter).

Duties include:

• managing the 9-year-old daughter's daily routine, including morning preparation, nutritious snack and dinner preparation, and safe transport to and from school
• supporting her SEN requirements with attentiveness, connecting through her preferred communication style
• assisting with homework, after-school activities, and planning engaging developmental activities
• overseeing her evening wind-down routine, including bath time and bedtime preparation
• handling child-related light housekeeping, such as keeping activity areas tidy and managing her laundry

The family is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible (ASAP).
