Part-time Housekeeper in OX7, Job ID J21A66

A lovely family in Chipping Norton is seeking a proactive, organised Part-Time Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of their property. The core role focuses on high-standard cleaning, comprehensive laundry and ironing, organising cupboards, oiling wood floors, laying fires, and prepping the home for guests. Additional daily duties include grocery shopping, unpacking deliveries, handling bins, seasonal garden tasks (such as cutting fresh flowers and freezing produce), caring for the family dog, and ensuring estate security. The ideal candidate will also be a versatile professional who can occasionally assist with the family's son and daughter during working hours, cover for their full-time nanny, or manage future nursery runs. They're looking for someone per-friendly as the family has a dog and a few farm animals.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 25hrs a week - Start anywhere between 7:30 am and 9:00 am for a 5-hour shift

Duties include:

• Cleaning, hoovering, dusting, polishing, sweeping, mopping, etc
• Organising cupboards
• Managing the cleaning products and equipment (inform us if anything needs replenishing)
• Washing dishes and emptying and loading the dishwasher
• Maintenance of wooden floors and surfaces (oiling where necessary)
• Laundry duties, including washing, air drying, hand washing and ironing (taking items to dry cleaner if necessary) and organising
• Changing sheets and towels weekly, and keeping the linen cupboard in order
• Managing the bins (taking rubbish out to the bins and fruit/veg waste to the compost)
• Preparing the house for guests (beds, flowers, water) and tidying afterwards
• Accepting post and deliveries
• Grocery and household shopping when required
• Arranging someone to fix any equipment or appliances that break
• Window cleaning (or arranging someone else to do it)
• Occasional cooking

Possible additional responsibilities On an ad hoc basis (additional overtime pay on an hourly/daily rate to be agreed):

· Running general household errands as required · Managing any contractors if we are away · House-sitting when we are away · Evening/weekend washing up and tidying when we have guests

Garden maintenance · Using flowers from the garden in the house (seasonal) · Picking, washing and freezing fresh fruit and vegetables (seasonal)

Security in our absence · Attending during working hours as usual and keeping an eye on the house · Ensuring windows and doors are locked and alarm is on · Being a Key Holder if the burglar or fire alarms go off
