Part-time Nanny, 6 hours per day, Job ID J1C330

A Part-time Nanny is needed by this wonderful family in South Tottenham, London to help them in looking after their precious baby. An ideal candidate will be someone who can truly become part of their home, someone proactive, fun, and nurturing, who will take the baby out, set up age-appropriate activities, read with him, go for walks, and support his development is preferred. Ideally, the candidate will have experience with babies or children of a similar age, but the right personality and initiative are most important. Light housekeeping and support with weaning and cooking nutritious meals will also be part of the role as the baby grows. Some knowledge of sleep training would be a welcome bonus and a spare room is available should the nanny wish to work extra hours or provide overnight support.

A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.

Working hours: 2 days a week from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (ideally no long gap between the days so a Monday, Wednesday and Friday would be ideal)

Duties include:

• Taking the baby out to local activities and into nature for walks
• Promoting early literacy through age-appropriate reading and storytelling
• Supporting socialisation and encouraging developmental play with toys and sensory activities
• Focusing on the child’s overall development through interactive and stimulating engagement
• Weaning support and preparing nutritious meals as the baby transitions to solids
• Managing bottles, including cleaning and sterilising
• Responsible for children's housekeeping tasks (e.g., tidying play areas, organising toys, and maintaining cleanliness in the nursery)
