Finding and hiring a Nanny has been never easy, since parents want the best of the best for their children. Parents want to be at peace when they go to work, knowing that their children & home are safe. This is one of the main reasons that parents decide to find a Nanny through an agency.
Going through the process of finding a Nanny through an agency will help you to get the best options for your children & home. Little Ones, as a Domestic Premium Childcare Agency, makes sure that all the candidates that we send to our clients have:
Our consultants will build a profile of each candidate, a profile that you can find and download if you click on the candidate’s profile on our website. If you are interested in seeing them, please click here.
The first step is to take into consideration whether you are searching for a temporary nanny or a permanent nanny. If you are looking for a temporary nanny, Little Ones will charge you £30 per day as commission; after this, the family will need to pay the hourly wage to the nanny directly, which is around £15 gross per hour with a minimum of 5 hours per day. Would you like to know more about our temporary nanny services? Click here.
If you are looking for a Nanny, Nanny-Housekeeper or Housekeeper in a permanent capacity, our registration fee is £69 (£93 for Au Pair registrations). After you register, our consultants will start sending you candidates' profiles that will suit your needs, and arrange interviews with them, finishing the process with the contract offer to the candidate. This is when the consultant will calculate the commission fee that the family will need to pay to the agency. To calculate the commission fee, the consultant will take 18%-20% of the candidate’s net salary. To put this into numbers, for example, if the salary of the nanny that you are hiring is £450 per week, you will need to times this by 52 (number of weeks in a year), and then times this by 16% to obtain the cost of the agency fee:
£450 x 52 = £23,400 x 18% = £4,212 (+ VAT)
Little Ones have a team of experienced Nannies and also Nanny tutors to help you and your family. Little One's have a database of qualified and professional nannies who come from all different childcare and even education backgrounds such as teachers, nursery managers, classroom teaching assistants and tutors. Our nannies are happy to come in during the day, assist the children with home studies, take some pressure off the parents so they can focus on work and provide general care throughout the day. We have a range of different nationalities as well so we can provide additional language support if required.
About the different salaries that domestic staff have, for example nannies and governess salaries are dependent, as in any industry, on a number of factors. In the UK demand for skilled, experienced nanny candidates out ranks availability, for this reason an experienced, talented nanny may demand a wage as high as £25 per hour.
Variables which contribute to the salary range include:
Below is a guideline of salary expectations in keeping with market rates, based on the expected salaries of nannies and governesses with between 1-20 years of experience.
Your Little Ones nanny consultant is able to advise the salary expectations for your individual cases.
Please note – these salaries and hourly rates are heavily dependent on the employers specific requirements, working hours, location, benefits, ages and number of children, expectations of the candidates (years of experience, qualifications, skills such as languages).
