A family based in the Royal Borough of Kensington seeks a full time live out governess to make sure that their two school aged children are reaching educational milestones whilst also ensuring that they are safe and cared for. The family ideally seeks a candidate with a formal qualification, educational background, and experience in either classroom or private teaching. A driver is required, and an automatic car will be provided by the family if needed. A valid first aid qualification is essential as well.

The role starts at 4:30 pm by picking up the children from school and finishes around 9:30 pm; however, these times are not fixed, and flexibility is required. Flexibility on the weekend is needed as well, as the governess might be required to work both weekend days, only one, or none at all, but this will be announced upfront. On average, the candidate will work 12hrs per weekend, which brings the average hours required by the family to 35 to 37 hours a week.

The governess will be required to travel with the family from time to time during school holidays. Apart from tutoring & homework duties, some nanny duties are expected, such as preparing meals for the children, making sure they take a bath and organising fun and educational activities such as museum visits. Some proxy parenting might be necessary as well.

The family has a dog that the children love to bring along when they go out, so the candidate needs to be pet friendly. The role would ideally start ASAP, but the family can wait for the right person.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm with occasional weekends
