A busy family based in the historical area of Rochester is searching for an au pair to help look after their two school aged children. The children are well-behaved and independent and they do not require a high level of supervision. The family has a cleaner, so housework will be light if needed. The au pair will be expected to help with school drop offs and pickups for the younger child, therefore a candidate who can drive would be a bonus. The family will allow the au pair to use their car by arrangement and a bicycle is also available for the candidate's use.
There will be a lot of opportunities for fun days out especially during school holidays and weekends. The family would either ask the au pair to take the children out with additional pay or the candidate would be invited to accompany them. They enjoy outdoor pursuits and they like sailing. The au pair would also be welcome to join them on regular sailing trips. Furthermore, the family will also support the candidate in finding English classes in the area if that's what they like to do.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 4 to 5 hours per day, with occasional babysitting duties

The family has a cat so the candidate must be comfortable around animals. They are looking for a friendly, cheerful, flexible and proactive au pair to start as soon as possible, but they are willing to wait for the right candidate.
