A full-time live-out nanny housekeeper is required by a family in Dunmow, Essex, to help care for their 2-year-old toddler and maintain their home to a high standard of cleanliness. A candidate who is a Native English speaker would be a huge bonus. Italian or Spanish speaker is also a bonus. The candidate is not required to cook a meal for the family, apart from cutting vegetables and heating the dinner, etc.
They are also looking for a candidate who is flexible and is willing to travel to Europe with the family for around 12 weeks per year. A driver who knows how to drive both manual and automatic transmission cars is a must for this role.
A valid first aid qualification is needed for this position.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm (Flexibility is a must, some days can be longer, and other days can be shorter, but it will always be 45 hours)
Additional hours: Babysitting occasionally
Duties include:
Nannying Duties:
- Assisting with nappy changes and preparing bottles for infants.
- Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the children.
- Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children.
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children.
- Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy.
- Engaging children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings, such as visits to the park, playgroups, soft play, and the library.
- Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children.
- Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth.
- Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children's structure and development.
Housekeeping Duties:
- Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence.
- Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
- Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area.
- Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens.
- Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding.
- Making beds and replacing linens as needed.
- Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
They are looking for someone to start in February/March 2026 (Needs to give 4 weeks notice to their current NHK).
