Hyde Park Corner, London Family needs a Live-in Housekeeper to assist them in maintaining their home to a high standard of cleanliness permanently. They seek an organised and hardworking housekeeper who takes the initiative in all general housekeeping duties. Cooking and preparing healthy meals for the entire family is part of the job as well. They own a friendly dog so someone comfortable around animals would be ideal.
Working hours: approx 26 weeks - Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm
approx 26 weeks - Monday to Saturday 6/7 am to 10/11 pm
approx 4 weeks - Monday to Sunday 6/7 am to 10/11 pm
Accommodation Ensuite bedroom
Duties include:
- cleaning of stove and oven
- preparation/cooking of snacks and all meals
- setting and clearing of tables
- making up beds
- vacuuming of carpets and upholstery
- dusting different surfaces
- wiping down all appliances
- cleaning of walls, light switches, doors etc.
- cleaning of ornaments including brass and silver
- cleaning of toilets, basins, baths, taps and showers
- mopping of tiled/vinyl floors
- cleaning inside cupboards
- polishing of floors and verandas
- cleaning of walls
- laundry – machine and hand wash
- dry cleaning
- cleaning of curtains
- ironing
- small mending jobs
- defrosting and cleaning of fridge and freezer
- arranging for the cleaning of windows and glass doors inside and out
- cleaning all equipment
- shopping and/or packaging away all groceries
- removal of refuse for collection
- sweeping outside patios, steps etc.
- wiping down outside lights
- cleaning of outside rooms and cloakroom
- wash cars
- maintain plants in clean and tidy condition
- trimming and pruning and arranging for gardening services where necessary
- painting of walls or arranging for painting where required
- general errands
