A lovely family based in Istanbul, Türkiye, is seeking an experienced Permanent Full-time Live-in International Governess/Nanny to care for their 4-year-old daughter. The role is available to start in August 2026, although the family can be flexible with the start date.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and hold a relevant childcare qualification. Speaking Turkish, French, or Spanish would be a bonus. The family is looking for someone who is warm, energetic, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about supporting a young child's development. A proactive, highly organised candidate with excellent communication skills and a mindful approach to childcare would be well suited to this role. The successful candidate will work closely with the parents, school, and household staff while becoming a trusted and valued part of the family's life for many years.
The role includes extensive international travel with the family for approximately 9 to 12 weeks each year, visiting destinations across Europe, the USA, and the Middle East. Private accommodation, consisting of a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, will be provided.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: 6 days per week, 12 hours per day.
Typical schedule:
7:00 am, morning routine, breakfast, and school preparation
8:35 am, school drop-off
3:30 pm, school pick-up
3:30 pm to 7:00 pm, after-school activities and evening routine
