A warm and open-minded family based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Permanent Full-time Live-in International Governess to support the development of their three children, aged 12 months, 5 years, and 7 years old. The primary focus of the role will be caring for the two eldest children, while two dedicated nannies are already employed to support the family's childcare needs. The role is available to start in September 2026, although the family is flexible on the start date.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and hold a relevant childcare qualification. The family is looking for someone who is warm, enthusiastic, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping children grow into confident, respectful, and independent individuals. Someone with excellent communication skills, a nurturing approach, and the ability to establish clear and consistent boundaries would be well suited to this position.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the children's personal development by encouraging good manners, discipline, time management, strong values, and positive sibling relationships. The family is open to offering either a 6-month or 12-month contract.
The role includes worldwide travel with the family for approximately 9 to 12 weeks each year. Private accommodation, including a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, will be provided.
A valid first aid certification is required for this role.
Working hours: 5 or 6 days per week. Typically 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on school days and 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on non-school days. Exact hours are flexible for the right candidate.
