A professional and entrepreneurial family based in Ghent, Belgium, is seeking a Permanent Full-time Live-in International Baby Nanny to care for their first baby, who is due at the end of July 2026.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced career nanny with strong infant experience and an English level close to native standard. Someone warm, caring, optimistic, and “sunny” would be ideal for this role, as the family values a positive and nurturing environment for their child.

This is a long-term role for someone who would like to become an important part of a growing family. The mother has wonderful memories of her own childhood nanny and is looking for a professional nanny who can provide the same kind of lasting and positive influence on her child’s development.

The nanny will provide expert early years care, support developmental milestones, and help establish a healthy routine from the newborn stage. After the mother’s three-month maternity leave, the nanny will take full charge of childcare while the parents are at work.

The role includes all nanny and nursery duties, including child-related cooking and housekeeping. The family travels frequently throughout the year, including regular stays in the South of France, winter trips to the Caribbean, and other international destinations, so someone comfortable with an international lifestyle and changing schedules would be ideal.

A private studio apartment near the family home will be provided. A driver would be a bonus, but this is not essential. EU and UK passport holders are accepted, and the family will sponsor the visa, residence permit, and work permit for a British passport holder.

A valid first aid certification is required for this role.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 19:30. Extra hours will be required for additional babysitting and travel, with time off in lieu or extra pay.

Duties include:

  • caring for a newborn baby
  • providing expert early years care
  • supporting the baby’s developmental milestones
  • establishing and maintaining a healthy daily routine
  • managing all nanny and nursery duties
  • preparing child-related meals when required
  • carrying out child-related housekeeping duties
  • keeping the nursery and baby’s areas clean and organised
  • supporting a smooth transition from newborn care into a long-term routine
  • taking full charge of childcare when the parents are at work
  • travelling frequently with the family
  • adapting to changing schedules when required
  • creating a warm, positive, and nurturing environment

The family is looking for someone who can start in mid September 2026.
