A warm family based in Manhattan, New York City, is seeking an experienced, long-term live-in nanny to care for their 4 month old son. Both parents are busy professionals with active social lives and frequent travel, and they are looking for a calm, organised, kind and engaging presence in the home. The ideal candidate will be emotionally intelligent, proactive, and confident, while also being respectful and discreet within the household. Strong organisational skills, initiative, and an interest in healthy cooking and meal preparation are desired. The family hopes to find someone who can become a trusted and integral part of their close-knit home, committed to a long-term role. English communication is required, and additional language skills in Tagalog, Spanish, French, or Persian would be a plus. This is a long-term opportunity for a professional career nanny seeking stability, mutual respect, and a close working relationship with a growing family. Above all, they are looking for an honest, dependable individual to serve as a true right-hand support, helping to ensure the smooth running of the household. The family is also open to sponsoring the right candidate for a US visa.

The family travels a lot so someone flexible to travel with them would be beneficial.

Working hours: Monday to Saturday, approximately 9-10 hours per day. Occasional late evening cover preferred on Thursdays and Saturdays. (with flexibility for the right nanny).

Accommodation: Private room

Duties include:

  • Ensuring the baby’s safety, well-being, and overall development at all times.
  • Engaging in age-appropriate stimulation activities (e.g. tummy time, sensory play, talking and singing).
  • Encouraging early development through interaction, including reading simple books and responding to cues.
  • Supporting healthy sleep routines and recognising the baby’s sleep cues.
  • Monitoring developmental milestones and communicating any concerns to parents.
  • Taking the infant on safe outdoor walks.
  • Maintaining a consistent daily routine to support the baby’s sense of security and development.
  • Assisting with nappy changes and ensuring the infant remains clean, comfortable, and rash-free.
  • Preparing and sterilising bottles, and feeding according to the baby’s schedule.
  • Bathing the infant and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
  • Keeping the baby’s sleeping and play areas clean, organised, and safe.
  • Cooking nutritious, healthy meals for the child.
  • Planning meals in advance.
  • Adhering to recipes as required.
  • Preparing packed lunches and snacks.
  • Shopping for all the necessary food items.
  • Help prep food for gatherings / dinners etc.

The family would like someone to start on 25th May 2026.
