A warm and loving family based in Wandsworth Common is looking for a live-in nanny to help care for their two school-aged children and their newborn, who is due to arrive in April. This role requires all general nanny duties, and the ideal candidate must have experience caring for newborns and young children. The family is seeking someone who has previously worked with children of a similar age and can confidently manage daily routines. A typical day will start with getting the children ready for school. Both the school and nursery are within walking distance, with the school run beginning at 8 a.m. The family has a small, friendly cockapoo dog that accompanies the children on the school run and joins them on park outings. From September, both school-aged children will be attending the same school. Once the baby is in a routine, the nanny will be responsible for planning age-appropriate activities, managing nap schedules, and assisting with weaning. In the afternoons, the role involves collecting the children from school, meal planning, supervising homework, and overseeing the bath and bedtime routine, with the day typically ending at 7 p.m. The family requires a nanny who is happy to travel with them during school holidays. A keen interest in cooking would be an added advantage, as the family enjoys delicious, home-cooked, and healthy meals.

A valid first aid qualification is needed for this position.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with a break during the day. Flexible babysitting

Accommodation: A self-contained kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom on the basement or spare bedroom on the top floor.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring the children wake up early and are ready for the day
  • Preparing and serving healthy breakfasts and snacks
  • Washing, dressing, and ensuring proper hygiene
  • Assisting with homework and school-related tasks
  • Engaging in after-school activities and recreational play
  • Organising fun and educational activities to support physical and mental development
  • Encouraging creativity through arts and crafts and messy play
  • Taking the children to parks and playgrounds for outdoor play
  • Feeding the children and assisting with the bedtime routine
  • Assisting with nappy changes and maintaining proper hygiene
  • Preparing and sterilising milk bottles, feeding the baby as needed
  • Bathing the baby and ensuring a safe, comforting routine
  • Following a structured sleep routine to support healthy development
  • Engaging the baby with age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities
  • Keeping the nursery, play areas, and baby essentials clean and organised

This lovely family is looking to hire in April 2025.
