A Part time Nanny-Housekeeper is needed by this lovely family in Hackney, London to help them in looking after their precious baby due in August 2025, school-aged child and help them with their household. An ideal candidate will be someone experienced, caring and easy going who has a basic understanding of child development. Someone who has experience looking after children with special needs would be a bonus for this role. A driver who holds a full driving license would be a bonus so they can assist with the school runs.
A valid first aid qualification is essential for this position.
Working hours: Any 2 weekdays between Wednesday to Friday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, approximately 20 hours per week
Duties include:
- Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children
- Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
- Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
- Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
- Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth
- Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children's structure and development
- Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence
- Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
- Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area
- Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
- Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding
- Making beds and replacing linens as needed
- Cleaning and organising dish ware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
