A lovely family based in Ashford, Kent is looking for a Part-time Nanny to provide attentive care for their precious baby They are looking for someone nurturing, engaging, and experienced in toddler care. Someone who will become a trusted extension of their family is ideal for this role.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: 4 days per week ideally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, approximately 16 hours per week
Duties include:
- Diaper changes and support with potty training if required.
- Bottle preparation or sippy cup cleaning (if still in use)
- Putting the child down for naps
- Engaging in age-appropriate play that encourages fine and gross motor skills (e.g., stacking blocks, throwing balls, climbing)
- Reading books and promoting early language development
- Singing songs and involving the child in basic music and movement activities
- Encouraging independence (e.g., choosing toys, supervised self-feeding)
- Providing sensory play opportunities (e.g., play dough, water play, safe tactile items).
- Providing constant, close supervision to ensure the child’s safety
- Organising or attending age-appropriate playdates or toddler classes (if approved by parents)
- Keeping a daily log of food intake, naps, diaper changes, mood, and activities.
- Clear and consistent communication with parents regarding milestones, behaviour, and concerns
- Following the parents’ preferred routine, values, and parenting style
- Light child-related housekeeping (laundry, cleaning bottles, high chair, etc.)
- Preparing and feeding meals/snacks (toddler-safe)
