A Part time Nanny-Housekeeper is needed by this lovely family based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire to provide proper care for their charming toddler and a baby whilst maintaining the cleanliness of their property. The family are looking for someone energetic, proactive, focused on developmental stages and easygoing. The candidate will also be expected to cook and prepare meals for the children. The family have two dogs at home so someone pet-friendly is ideal for this role. Someone who can drive and holds a full driving license would be a bonus but is not a deal-breaker.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: 3 days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, approximately 24 hours per week
Duties include:
- Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the children
- Ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
- Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy
- Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
- Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
- Providing homework assistance and supporting the children’s educational growth
- Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children's structure and development
- Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence
- Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers
- Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area
- Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens
- Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding
- Making beds and replacing linens as needed
- Cleaning and organising dish ware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher
