A lovely family based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Nanny-Housekeeper to help care for their two young children and support the smooth running of their home.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and will be confident caring for a 21-month-old toddler and a 4-year-old pre-schooler. Someone warm, reliable, and able to build a strong relationship with the children would be ideal, as the role has the potential to become full time in the future.
The nanny-housekeeper will be responsible for supervising the children, supporting their safety, well-being, and development, and planning age-appropriate activities. The role will also include supporting early literacy and language development for the toddler, as well as helping the 4-year-old with reading.
Housekeeping duties will include keeping family living areas clean and organised, maintaining the kitchen, organising the children’s bedrooms and play areas, and helping with laundry and ironing. A driver would be a bonus, but this is not essential.
The family may also require ad hoc babysitting around once a month. They are also looking for summer holiday cover, but this can be discussed with the right candidate.
Working hours: Friday, 9:30 to 18:30, plus a flexible second day on a weekday or weekend. Around 16 hours per week.
