A lovely family based in Ashford, Kent, is seeking a Part-time Nanny to provide attentive and nurturing care for their precious baby. They are looking for someone warm, engaging, and experienced in caring for toddlers. The ideal candidate will become a trusted and valued extension of their family, offering both reliability and genuine affection in their day-to-day care.
A valid first aid qualification is a requirement for this position.
Working hours: 4 days per week, ideally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, approximately 16 hours per week
Duties include:
- Changing diapers and supporting potty training as needed
- Preparing bottles or cleaning sippy cups if used
- Putting the child down for naps
- Engaging in age-appropriate play to develop fine and gross motor skills (e.g., stacking blocks, throwing balls, climbing)
- Reading books and encouraging early language development
- Singing songs and involving the child in simple music and movement activities
- Promoting independence, such as choosing toys and supervised self-feeding
- Offering sensory play opportunities (e.g., play dough, water play, safe tactile items)
- Providing constant, close supervision to ensure safety
- Organising or attending age-appropriate playdates or toddler classes with parental approval
- Keeping a daily log of food intake, naps, diaper changes, mood, and activities
- Maintaining clear, consistent communication with parents about milestones, behaviour, and concerns
- Following parents’ routines, values, and parenting style
- Light child-related housekeeping, including laundry and cleaning bottles and high chairs
- Preparing and feeding toddler-safe meals and snacks
