Candidate written reference Sarah was our live in au pair from September 2013 to August 2014. When she worked with us the children - 2 boys - were 9 and 12. Her duties were: Pick up the children from school. Supervise homework. Cook supper. Supervise bath time. Some light cleaning duties. Standard au pair duties. In addition to this she helped my elder son with his French homework which was really useful and which she did enthusiastically. He hated French - and she helped him not hate it! Her input was invaluable. Sarah also did some evenings baby-sitting. So the usual duties but also supervising bed-time. Sarah has a strong personality. She is positive and enthusiastic about life. She is funny and kind and very personable. She always undertook all the duties willingly - no complaints or negativity. She is a good cook - and loves to bake cakes so she would often bake with the boys - and made spectacular birthday cakes for the family over the course of the year. She very much became a member of our family - and continues to come and stay with us to this day. She got on well with everyone - from the youngest child to granny and grandpa! She always takes her commitments very seriously and is a hard worker. She was never late for any school pick ups. She always put the children first and looked after their friends who came round without issue - however many there were. She helped me with their parties - and even cooked a lovely dinner party for us. We had her family to stay at our house as well. She comes from a close and very lovely family with very solid values.
